We decided to give gardening a bit of a break today, after a very tiring day yesterday, and headed off to the zoo. It was a beautiful day so we had coffee and sandwiches looking at the hippos.

We spent the day visiting the zoo (P’s request) and then went up to the top of the hill to see the sunset and try to catch the Melbourne city fireworks (>60 Kms away). As well as the midnight bangs and whizzes there is a Family friendly 9:15pm show, but it was hard to make [...]
This is the first year that young P has really appreciated Christmas, and started to get excited by it. On Christmas eve, dad and P went to the zoo to see some animals and sit on the model hippos (pictures attached show this aspect of the trip- as this is what P most wanted to [...]
Lesley was working on Good Friday, so Philippa and dad went to Werribee zoo. A cool, overcast day made for great walking weather. Enjoy the pictures.
